Ever get tired of pushing a single round into the magazine of your K31 when you're single loading (such as in matches where single load are mandatory)? I know I'm tired of doing it but just put up with it as no one makes a sled for the K31. Well my problem has been solved by a friend of mine who came up with a clever sled design for the K31. He makes these things by hand in his garage using hand tools so each one so this is a true "custom" part.

Installation is a snap. You simply slide it in the magazine on top of the follower and insert the magazine into the rifle and just drop the ammo into the sled as pictured below and close the bolt. No more pushing the ammo into the magazine. The pics below is one of his pre production he made for me and the production one will look better. He is asking $22 each shipped. Believe me it would cost way more than that if you have someone make it considering each one is made by hand (aluminum cut, bent, filled and polished). Anybody know if these are still available? I sent an e-mail to Vern, but haven't had a reply.

Thanks,

Tom
If a politician were handing out free $20 dollar bills down on the corner, some opposition politician would be complaining that it wasn't two tens...

Or you can put a coin in the magazine to keep the follower down. A swiss franc works well, I guess a US quarter would too.

Thanks, Guys. I tried the coin trick. It may work OK in a K31, but it didn't work in my 96/11 magazine.

I ended up ordering one from Vern Hayes - should have it this week.

Will post an image or two if it looks any different that the one at the top of this thread.
