Can anyone tell me more; is it true, if so which model, the whole Swiss Armee or just certain units, what caliber, is the OP75 being phased out, etc???

Posts: 684 Jun 21 11 8:10 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The Glock is very popular with US police departments, some of our special ops guys, and many in the IPSC world. The last is a purely market driven choice - what can I afford that wins for me? The afford part will stretch into as many pictures of Ben Franklin as needed for these folk. However, SIG and others have significant presense and the M1911 is still hanging in there as well. Personally I dislike what for me is the awkward grip angle on the Glock, but it's my only real knock on it. Each to his own. Military weapons procurement stories are full of rigged tests, bribes, and other shennanigans. Looking at what private individuals choose with winning in mind in a sport related to this kind of use (IPSC/IDPA/et. al.) and pay their hard earned greenbacks for is a good indicator. True, these "games" don't have mud tests, drop tests, or other abuse tests, but shooting the piss out of a gun w/o frequent cleaning will tell you a great deal about how it will hold up under abuse. Personally I prefer the old school approach where gentlemen soldiers acquired their own personal sidearms. Matt

Glaser has from time to time surplus, meaning very slightly used, OP75s that sell for Sfr.650-800, which should include hoster, extra mag and mag pouch. As time goes on there should be more and more available if they're replaced by the Glock.
