Posts: 6 Nov 18 07 9:14 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tags : None Gentleman, I have acquired a Swiss Hammerli single-shot 300 meter free rifle that's based on the K-31 style action. However, it's not a conversion of a military rifle. It's a much heaver action. I would like to communicate with anyone who knows about these rifles.

It's a physical match for the Smallbore one I used in Gallery and other .22 matches, but lighter, of course. I used it in a few free rifle matches in the Philadelphia area. At 82 I don't have the strength to fire it in positions and mostly use it from the bench. I have both a receiver sight and scope blocks. It is not very fussy about bullet types or weights. GP-11 is best. The SN on mine is 300-208, and I bought it from Navy Arms in NJ for about $325. Check with my widow for it! I suspect I'll be parting with it soon. wolf

Posts: 2 Jun 28 08 11:13 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	My Hammerli 300 in 30-06 has what appears to be a K-31 bolt and receiver with the Swiss cross. Stock, barrel, and butt plate match(7-digit), bolt and receiver match but with another number ( 3-digit). I have been told that this is an early example from the 1940s with the curved butt-plate, but beyond that I have been able to find nothing about it. It is similar to the one mentioned above on Gunbroker with the carved stock. I think there are many owners out there who would like to know more. Does anyone have or know where to find production figures and serial# and caliber info. Any help would be appreciated. Rod Dunn
