Looking for Swiss Vetterli Parts |
Lead | |
|
Hi all! I was hoping someone could help me find some parts for my Swiss Vetterli 1869/71, I believe that is the model. I'm looking for a forend, someone
cut the original one in half for some reason, the front band(s) and sling. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm in Canada so Canadian suppliers
would be good, but I have dealt with my American friends many times and would do it again if I need to! Thanks much! Cheers!

Thanks for the replies! I checked out westergunparts and they deal mainly with sports rifles, so no to the Vetterli. I also checked out gunbroker links
provided, and it is exactly what I'm looking for, but the dealer doesn't want the hassle of shipping to Canada unfortunately. Thanks for the effort
though! Any other ideas would be great!

I have one barrel band for an 1871, comparing it to the ones on my rifle, the middle and rear band look alike. It is like the middel and rear band. The
screw head is buggered but serviceable. Another foum member sent it to me a couple of years ago when I needed a better screw.
If you know how I can send to Canada let me know and it's yours Jeff

I just put two in a padded emvelope and mailed them to Canada.
Did not have to fill out a customs form or anything and am still waiting to hear if they made it. I need the barrel band and forend cap/band for a 78 or 81 vetterli if someone has them.

I think you would have needed a CN22 sticker to ship goods to Canada but I don't think the envelope will get delayed because of that.

After seeing the barrel bands that I need going for close to $100 and a forend going for $117 on Ebay a couple weeks ago, I bought another rifle for parts. It
cost less than the combined prices and I will have something to part out when I take what I need.

procrastinator43 wrote: Good idea as long as you do not have my 'issues'. Picked up extra's in model 71's, 78, 81 thinking I might need some parts then I cannot bring myself to part them out. Also have sporters in 71's, 78's and 81's which I find strangely appealing as they are. So I have the need the need for a screw and a swivel...when I should be selling parts. lol Found the rifles with bad bores and some surface scale came clean enough to be considered shooters.......lol Cork
