Posts: 105 (04/14/09 15:03:09) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None I recently received 2 K-11s from Interordenance Inc. in Monroe North Carolina and lo and behold I finally got a Swiss weapon with a troop tag !!!!!! I think his name is Sandez Joos( or Loos or Soos ) written in cursive born in 1907 assigned to Territory Company 513 living in Basel . I've only heard of K-31s having troop tags and was REALLY surprised to find this on a K-11. I have 14 Swiss rifles and none has a tag, and now I finally have one !! WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO !

But who knows, living up in the clean air of the Alps, eating great cheese and chocolate, and drinking good wine, I think I could live to be 102!!!!

Zerst Det: Destruction Detachement). My tag reads Albiez Wilhem, 13 (guessing 1913) date of birth Zerst Det 53 Waisen Schmiede or Schmrede 524960 1134 But no idea what type of unit a Zerst Det is......it say destruction I'm thinking a demo unit???? Great site and a lot of great people, when I get time and take my camera I will post my results from the reloading which I picked up on another part of this fine website. thanks for any help. I'm currently out of state on an engine overhaul ( actually two engines ) on a tow boat with twin 20 cylinder diesel engines and it's gonna be a while before I can get some pics , But I thought I'd let all know that not only do k-31s but other Swiss rifles have tags...............I was surprised !! I wonder whether any of the curved buttplate 1889, 96/11, etc. models ever had troop tags? My 96/11 doesn't. It's marked P51. The owner was probably getting some years behind him, as he'd rubbed the blue off of the sides of the rear sight to make the numbers contrast more. "A cheerful heart is good medicine."
