Nice pics !
How do those mags stay in place, I don't see any locking clips/levers on them ? Guisan.

I saw one of those at the Reno, NV gun show yesterday. He was asking $175, but didn't have a mag for it so I passed.

The mags have a little bumpout on the same side as the mag cutoff lever.
It lines up well with the lever so I'm assuming thats what hold it in. |

For those of you who don't follow our fractured English, "bumpout" is not a compound of "bum" and "pout" (although that might
also be descriptive, at least in the U.K.) but rather of "bump" and "out". A small protuberance has been formed ("bumped out") on
the side of these magazines to provide a locking point after the original catch plate was removed with the upper half of the magazine.
Here are pictures of a couple more in the same style -

I thought it better to delete a few posts before things get really out of hand, nobody is offending anyone here, there was just some confusion.

Bob S, man you have way better eyes than I do. I was just going to ask if it was sleeved. Thanks for getting there first. Frank

I haven't made a casting of this chamber but it is sleeved with a bit left long as a support for the rim of th 30-30.
I'll post pics of the casting and also borescope the chamber before I dump all this swiss stuff.......it's taking over rmy life ! just bought 2 K11 stocks, a 1911 bbl'd action, 1889 sporter and (I think) a 96/11 sporter ........ I'm gonna have to have a firesale! |
