Hello sorry for the pic being blurred. I went to the gunshow today and
picked up this rifle very cheap around 125.00. Its a swiss i do know that, question is I have a K-31 already and this is nothing like my K-31 its already been
drilled for scope mounts and its missin front and rear sites. the serial number is 458572 right under that is wf28 the swiss mark is on the rifle in several
spots. and just wondering if anyone could please tell me what swiss rifle it is

Welcome aboard !
From the pic there is little to say but from the serial I would say that it is a 1917 made M1911 long rifle. Guisan.

Yup that bolt has the locking lugs in the middle, it's a 1911 bolt, if that serial is correct it is a 1911 long rifle.

Is the magazine missing, can't tell? Also you might find ejecting a shell is troublesome once you install a scope. Shoot her and enjoy her but
wouldn't try to restore her with the receiver being drilled. Congrats

Yes the magazine is missing, but i can use the one off my k-31 when not shootin my k-31. So i can not add scope to this rifle? can not shoot it with a scope on
it? Cause my eyesight is really poor usin open iron sights

Paul,
The K-31 mag won't fit in the 1911 receiver, at least not correctly. When you say the rifle is Drilled and Tapped, can you provide a clear picture of this? Swiss Products makes a very nice D&T Scope Mount for the 1911 sporters, matching (2) of the most common mount patterns used in the '60s. If your D&T patternes matches one of these, or is close enough, you might want to think about getting one of these mounts. 
The mount has 5 holes in it, intending to hit (4) holes in either pattern. It is attached to the left side of the receiver as shown above. HTH |

You can add a scope to the rifle but it shall be a single shot rifle as a K31 magazin does not fit a 1911 rifle. Guisan.

Sorry really dont have a way to get pics besides cell phone and you can tell the quality of the pics. I made a mistake on drilled and tap, It has a reagular
scope mount and the reciever has a rail already on it, gues single shot wont be to bad till i get the funds to restore it back to original.

Finding a stock for a 1911 may prove to be a little difficult and expensive. Since it is drilled and tapped for a scope mount and the stock has been shortened
I would make a shooter out of it and just enjoy it as is.

Where can i find a K-11 magazine? I just now finished it redid the stock couple scratches dents nice cherry wood stain, big scope on 4x60 and a harris bipod on
it. Didn"t think K-11 would be so hard to restore if it was goin to be that hard wouldnt paid 125.00 for it but it's the little bro to my K-31

Folks here have been gently trying to tell you that your firearm is neither a K31 nor a K11. The "K" stands for Karabiner, the German word for
carbine. Yours is a sporterized 1911 rifle (G11 or Gewehr 1911). During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, there was a
significant distinction between a carbine (short) and a rifle (long).
Although the 1911 rifle and 1911 carbine use identical magazines, the serial ranges are distinct. If you go looking for a "K11" magazine you may have a less fruitful search than simply asking for a Swiss 1911 magazine. Similarly, if you obtain a "K11" stock, it won't fit your G11 correctly. |

A few weeks back someone was selling aK11 magazine on Gunbroker but he wanted $115. I think I'd just use it as a single shot shooter. I sometimes do mine
that way............no big hurry at the range. My 96/11 is very acurate.....your's should be similar.
