Guisan-
Any way to tell if anyone is still living at his address, a family member perhaps? I thought it might be worth a shot to write to a relative, and see if maybe they can relate any stories or photos of this man. |

Wel problem is we have no address, Les Breuleux is a small village with some 700 people listed in the phone book of which 51 carry the last name Boillat so
a tough job to ask them all...

Thanks again, Frank. That would be a lot of letter writing.
I'm content with that little page of history on the man (assuming that is indeed him). |

Were magazines ever issued without serial numbers? Just wondering... I made a new discovery on this K31... It seems that the owner etched his initials into the
side of the magazine, which means at the very least, this magazine was his original replacement, if not the original one that came with the weapon.

Been following this thread about gun shows. Just went to one in Lafayette Louisiana. Not ONE K31 period. Few moisins, some garands, couple springfields, and a
few wanna-be military style 45 auto's. Prices here tend to be higher than what I have seen in threads in this and other forums.
Same dealers, same junk and same over inflated prices. One dealer had a $695 price tag on a beech or birch stocked 94 winchester. Guess he hasn't gotten the message yet. Sorry for the rant but with high gas prices, its kinda disappointing to always see the same junk. I envy you folks in other states, from what I hear its a better selection and a lot more of them. Regards, Frank |
