Observed at a local gun show; the above in a blue and white box manufactured by IMI, Israeli Military Industries; 9x19 "carbine" with black bullet tip. My guess is that it was meant for Uzi carbines. Can anyone provide more info: date of manufacture, muzzle vel., safety in handguns, collectors value???

A couple of years ago, it seemed like GP11 was everywhere. You could find it at Dans, Classic Arms, and a bunch of other places.

Now finding GP11 in cases is really hard and dried up.

Are they still importing GP11?

Is GP11 still being made overseas? If not, how much of a supply of it is left for importation?

I'm just wondering what the future for the US holds for 7.5x55 military ammo.

GP11 lot 2.11.82.A 10DV. Good? Bad? Ugly? What does the "DV" indicate, it's the first time I have seen that notation in the lot number.

There appears to be a misunderstanding as to what the "lot number"of GP-11 is.The date and ammunition plant code in the lower grey stripe on the 10 round packet is the "lot number"identifing that particular discrete production run.As an example 13.5.86 A is from Altdorf made the 13 th day of May 1986.The large 591-1100 is an ordnance code identifying it as GP11-a reorder supply identifier code if you will. How's the accuracy of Swiss issue pistol ammo, particularly 9x19mm?

It's hard to find FMJ-RN "ball" ammo here that will print well. Handloading is even more of a challenge for these bullets. However, some lots of ball type ammo, particularly match ammo, do well in a variety of guns so chambered. Thus the question on Swiss service issue.

This also begs the follow up question, where can you get it and is the price reasonable?
