I was just reading an long article in a German gun magazine called Visier and was amazed how they brought up proof of things that happened 90 years ago, it also shows that GPS is a great help in locating finds.
A Google search brought me a link to the story in three languages and the PDF pages are a recommended read..

Last Friday and Saturday many Swiss in the canton of Zug turned in their guns with the police, the upcoming stricter gun law makes that a a permit is needed for every gun made past 1870 and many don't want that as the picture shows.

Last Friday I finished off the information request form from the Gov. to try and get some of my Father's service records. Apparently, the only thing the Gov wants to do is send you a Vet's Form 214, which tells exactly nothing. What I want is some kind of detailed records about my Dad's Combat record........

He went to Korea at 17 with the Marines and later, as a career Marine, served two combat tours at/around Da Nang and the A Shau & Elephant Valleys...

This book is in German and at 70 euroos plus 5 euroos shipping cost it is not a cheap book but it's contents are the results of years of research and in my opinion it is the best reference book on the subject, it comes with a separate English-language index of illustrations.

Can anyone recommend a good way to learn other languages, and quickly?

I see ads for various language learning software. I trust ads about as much as I trust politicians.

While in the Army, those locals nearby the base all spoke fluent English - sometimes better English than us GI's (their vocabulary included words with more than four letters...). I learned a small number of phrases, which I put to good use in later life. When I was in college I got on the elevator...
